Empower the teachers at your school with student, curriculum, calendar, assessment,
budget, timetable and communication information delivered to their own web browser.

Teacher Kiosk is fully integrated with the other TASS based portals such as webBook, Student Café and Parent Lounge. This means that an assessment task entered through webBook will automatically create a reminder for teachers in Teacher Kiosk, will be delivered to students through Student Café and will appear in the Parent Lounge for parents who want to keep up to date with their child’s academic activities.

TASS Teacher Kiosk introduces a proven simple-to-use web browser interface that will allow Teachers and Administrators to access important data with virtually no training or in-service required. Schools that have web servers configured for Intranet and Internet access can now provide an environment for teachers to work either at school or at home.

As teachers login they are welcomed with a ‘dashboard’ page that includes the current day’s essential information including absentees, students in sickbay, calendar events, bulletin notices, timetable and assessment items.

Log, track and monitor behavioural incidents at your school.  The Behaviour Management tool allows teachers to record incidents against students and assign points for their positive or negative behaviour. Trigger points are set by the school to identify when a student has reached a point where further action may be required, such as contacting parents or scheduling a detention.

Teacher Kiosk provides teachers with the ability to view a complete student’s profile. Student information includes: photograph, curriculum, behavioural, timetable, extra-curricular, assessment, attendance and medical details.

Instead of relying on an administration person to produce hardcopy class lists and timetables, Teacher Kiosk provides a convenient tool for Teachers to produce his or her own lists. These lists can be easily dropped into Word® or Excel® for further data manipulation.

Teachers can easily arrange meetings with other teachers. The software will evaluate the timetables of all teachers to include in the meeting and suggest periods when they are all available. It can also create an email to invite the relevant teachers to the meeting.

Teacher Kiosk also features a browser based absentee capture facility. Teachers can now enter absentees using a PC or Laptop in the classroom. The same device will provide the teacher with his or her class information or allow the teacher to access his or her timetable. There is also an administration tool that will highlight periods in which attendance capture has been missed by teachers with the ability to spawn a reminder email.

Teacher Kiosk provides a convenient way of providing budget information to budget controllers or teachers. On-line purchase order requisitions are also available.

Tours and Excursions module provides a facility to:
- Create detailed excursion records
- Submit these for approval
- Invite students to excursions
- Allow parents to accept and pay for their students on-line (using Parent Lounge)

Keep your school community up to date with all the latest results of your school’s teams. Teachers can also use the Sports Results page to flag a wet weather notification to students and parents.

The Student Comparative Listing produces a report to send to parents comparing their student’s performance with their cohort. The ‘runtime’ choices provide the flexibility to nominate the objective or criteria to be used in the comparison. This listing can be used as an appendix to the school’s standard academic report or as an ‘on demand’ report for individual parents. Percentage or number based comparisons are supported.

A security system controls access to all data so that staff or groups of staff may be assigned or declined access to certain areas of the system. With an underpinned security system, staff in positions of additional responsibility can access certain information relating to other staff who they supervise.

Teacher Kiosk
is LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) enabled. This means that teachers and administrators can logon using their Windows ® or Novell user name and password.

As well as being able to deliver pay slips electronically through to teachers and other staff, the Teacher Kiosk Pays Portal also includes a ‘requests’ option. Staff can lodge requests such as change of address, change of bank account details or apply for leave on-line.

The Pays Portal also features an extensive leave analysis report for management plus a qualifications report. The qualifications report is particularly good for highlighting staff who have qualifications such as suitability cards and first aid certificates - before the qualifications expire.
