A student centric portal that provides online information including progressive assessment,
school calendar, timetable, extra curricular and academic results information

Teachers who use the TASS webBook program can deliver digital assessment items directly to the students in their class through Student Cafe.

Adobe PDF®, Word®, Excel® and web based URLs are examples of the formats that are supported. This means that the reliance on producing hardcopies of tasks and manually distributing them to students is greatly reduced.

Students has their own ‘Assessment Tasks’ in-box where all of their assessment items are displayed, ordered by due date.

As soon as an assessment item has been marked by the teacher in webBook, the results can be published to Student Café and made available to the student.

Students can go on-line to check their extra-curricular records.

This is particularly useful when Year 12 extra curricular certificates are being prepared. Students can check them on-line before the school produces the final hard copy.

Bulletins and calendar information is available for students on-line. Other information such
as school policies, newsletters and information sheets can also be made available.

The process to publish this information at the school is very much at a user level, meaning
that information can be made available quickly and without the need for a web developer.

The student’s full timetable is available on-line.

Changes that are made to the timetable in TASS .web will be available to students on their
next visit to the Student Café.

The school has control over the Student Café security set up to ensure that students are only allowed to view the information that they are entitled to.

Functionality within the Student Café can be activated or deactivated using the Student Café security console. For example, if your school did not want students to have access to
comment and result information, then the Student Café administration can simply be used to turn that feature off.
